There was full house last Thursday night for the Albert Basin Park Christmas Pub Quiz, with over 80 people turning up to take part in the fun and craic. It offered a chance for supporters, friends and families to come together and celebrate the campaign’s progress in 2016.
£502.50 was raised on the night to fund the next stages of the campaign for 2017, which will bring the project to life by creating a high quality 3d model and images of the future city park.
James McConville, Newry 2020 member and quiz organiser was delighted with the turnout: “It’s been a great end to a great year for the Albert Basin Park project. We’ve achieved so much over the last 12 months, but what we’ve got planned for the new year is going to really take things to the next level. We also would like to wish all our friends and supporters a happy and prosperous New Year”.
